We sell new and rebuilt outboard replacement lower units (gearcases) for Mercury, Yamaha, and Johnson Evinrude, supplied by OBR Parts and Marine. Rebuilt units get all-new bearings, seals, and gears, and every lower unit comes with a 2-year warranty.

Before you order: make sure it fits

• Serial number and model number. Both are on the tag on your transom bracket. This is the most important thing for fitment.
• Shaft length. L (20"), XL (25"), or XXL (30"). Measure from the bottom of the mounting bracket to the anti-ventilation plate if you're not sure.
• Rotation. Standard or counter-rotating (C/R). Dual-engine boats often have one of each.
• Gear ratio. Many motors were built with more than one ratio. Your serial number tells us which one you have.
• What's included. Most units include a water pump; you add gear oil. Some Johnson Evinrude units need a separate top driveshaft. Check each product page.

Warranty and cores

Every lower unit includes a 2-year warranty, with an optional 12-month extended warranty available within 30 days of purchase. Some units qualify for a core refund when you send back your old gearcase. Check each product page for the core value.
