Johnson Evinrude V4/V6 Replacement Top Driveshaft
New upper driveshaft for Johnson Evinrude V4 and V6 replacement gearcases, supplied by OBR Parts and Marine. Priced for purchase with a Johnson Evinrude V4/V6 lower unit, so add it to your order with your gearcase.
Do I need one?
- 1992 and newer: Optional. Replacement gearcases ship without the upper driveshaft, and you can reuse the one from your old unit. Getting it out means pushing the retaining pin out of the old lower shaft, which can be a pain if you haven't done it before. Adding a new shaft skips that step.
- 1991 and older: A replacement top driveshaft is required. Reuse your existing shift rod.
